Olsen v. United States: 1997

Sealaska Native Corporation:

Challenged the constitutionality of ANILCA; however, before the district court could rule in that case, the Alaska Legislative Council and nine individual legislators filed suit in the federal district court in D.C. making the same challenges to the constitutionality Title VIII of ANILCA. AFN intervened, and Olsen plaintiffs had to dismiss their case in order for the Legislative Council's lawsuit to remain in D.C. courts.
