Question: How do you feel about Celebration?

"I have gone since 1982, when it first started," she said. It's important for all the clans to get together. People all over Alaska and lower 48 to the celebration. It encourage to see what activities are taking place. "When I was younger we didn't have anything like this to support our culture to keeping going, I feel very strong about the celebration."

Question: What do you think its importance is towards native people and kids today?

Its a opportunity to learn about other clans, dances, songs, and learn how to speak Tlingit language. You get to see how others customs and there traditions, and learn their history. If we didn't have the celebration we would lose our culture and history.
