Halibut Hooks

Halibut hooks: Halibut hooks were V shaped and could only catch 30 to 50 pound fish. Any fish larger then 50 pounds could likely sink a canoe. The line on halibut hooks was made out of red cedar fiber and sinew (seal gut) which are both strong materials.
