Wildberries

Wildberries-  Native people had an all around healthy native diet of meat, but you also need berries to get fruit nutrition.  So the women would pick berries such as salmon berries, blueberries, wild strawberries, nagoon berries and rasberiies.  During the day they would pick the berries and bring them back home.  When they were home, they could clean the berries, put them all together, and mash the berries until it made jam.  Below is a photo of jam prepared by Emily Williams.
