Using the Iñupiaq Font to Send E-mail

If you can they change the font in your e-mail program, you can send e-mail with the Iñupiaq font. Here's how:

STEP 1: MAKE SURE THE IÑUPIAQ FONT IS ON YOUR COMPUTER
Go to this page with your web browser to check whether you have the Inupiaq font on your computer: http://www.alaskool.org/language/inupiaqpb/getfont.htm

STEP 2: SELECT THE IÑUPIAQ FONT FOR YOUR E-MAIL MESSAGE
If your e-mail program is Netscape Messenger, click on the font box then scroll to the bottom of it and select "other" then select Iñupiaq from that box. In Eudora, select the Iñupiaq font from the regular font list. In other e-mail programs, check whether there's a place to where you can change the font.

STEP 3: MAKE SURE WHOEVER YOU ARE SENDING THE E-MAIL TO HAS THE IÑUPIAQ FONT ON THEIR COMPUTER
You can paste the text below into your e-mail message so your friend can check whether they have the font and install it if they don't:

"Go to this page with your web browser to check whether you have the Iñupiaq font on your computer: http://www.alaskool.org/language/inupiaqpb/getfont.htm If you don't have the Iñupiaq font, there are directions for downloading and installing it. It's Free!"

STEP 4: SEND YOUR E-MAIL AS "HTML" OR AS "STYLED"
Select "send as HTML" in Netscape email or "send Styled" in Eudora to capture the Iñupiaq font in the e-mail being sent.
