Northwest Arctic Borough School District Curriculum
"The Alaska Native Claims Settlement Act"

Contents and Teacher's Guide

This Teacher's Guide was developed in 1986 in Kotzebue by Martin Laster, Paul Ongtooguk, and Bob Walker with the Northwest Arctic Borough School District. It was designed to accompany a series of five videotapes and a collection of Student Readings on the Alaska Native Claims Settlement Act. The format of the Teacher's Guide was adapted to the Internet by Alaskool staff.

An index of general information provided in the Teacher's Guide follows. The Student Page is a table with links to the readings, videos, and worksheets that can be printed out.

The Teacher's Area requires a password and includes answer sheets and lesson plans. To obtain a password, call Paul Ongtooguk, now with ISER, 907-786-1906 or send e-mail to Paul at afpo@uaa.alaska.edu. Please provide a telephone number and the name of your school in the e-mail. We will be adding the 4th and 5th video and an on-line post-test to these materials in the future.
